For nearly a decade, Michelle served as the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Shine Magazine, an award-winning publication that inspired and empowered thousands of women. Under her leadership, the magazine grew to an impressive readership of over 40,000 subscribers and was sold in prominent bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders, gaining national distribution across the United States and Canada. Shine Magazine was a reflection of Michelle’s heart and vision to uplift others, and it became a trusted resource for women seeking guidance on leadership, faith, and personal development.

Michelle’s influence extended into the world of television with the co-production and hosting of SHINE with Michelle on INSP Television Network. The show served as a platform for Michelle to share her message of empowerment and connect with leaders across various industries, while showcasing stories of triumph, resilience, and purpose.

As an author, Michelle has penned several impactful works that explore themes of faith, personal growth, and overcoming adversity. Her books, including God Crazy, Overcoming the Seven Deadly Emotions, and The You Plan, have touched the hearts of many readers. Her Freedom Series, a collection of six books, addresses issues of hope, healing, and empowerment, providing a road map for individuals to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and grace. In addition to her books, Michelle co-produced and authored the Live Again 8-week video study, which offered practical guidance and emotional support to women navigating the painful journey of divorce.

A true champion for leadership development, Michelle created the SHINE Like a B.O.S.S. conference series, which brings together influential businesswomen to share their expertise and inspire others to lead with purpose. The conference focuses on the B.O.S.S. principles—Building Others, Sowing Purpose, and Serving Community—and continues to make a lasting impact on attendees. In February 2025, Michelle will release her new book, SHINE Like a B.O.S.S., an empowering guide to unlocking one's leadership potential. The book will be launched at the next SHINE Like a B.O.S.S.event, to be held at the University of Texas at Arlington, and promises to provide practical tools for those looking to step into their leadership roles with confidence and clarity.

Michelle’s expertise as a business and brand strategist spans more than 25 years. She has consulted with top CEOs and executives, helping them optimize their business strategies and achieve sustainable growth. Her work as a premier business and brand management consultant has been instrumental in launching and elevating the profiles of a wide range of brands, from startups to global corporations. Michelle’s strategic guidance has been sought by industry leaders and well-known companies, including Walgreens, TRUFIT Athletic Clubs, Grace Wear Jewelry, Barna Research Institute, and John Maxwell's INJOY. Her expertise in driving brand growth and creating meaningful connections has made her a sought-after advisor in the business world.

In addition to her work as a consultant, Michelle is also the Publisher of BOSS Media and the President of BOSS Media Marketing, where she continues to drive the company’s mission to amplify voices, tell powerful stories, and help brands achieve their goals. Her leadership in these roles has been pivotal in expanding market reach, engaging audiences, and creating opportunities for brands to thrive.

Michelle is also excited to be launching several new projects in the coming years, including her upcoming TV series, Texas Sweetheart, which will air on the American Country Network. This new series will offer a fresh perspective on life in Texas, blending entertainment, culture, and heartwarming stories. In addition, Michelle will be co-hosting a new podcast called The JAM Session, alongside her husband, James, where they will discuss a variety of topics around leadership, business, and personal growth, offering insights and encouragement to listeners.

Despite her busy career, Michelle finds her greatest fulfillment in her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband, James Halverson, share a deep partnership in both business and life. Michelle is the proud mother of seven accomplished adult children and the cherished “Mae Mae” to her precious grandson, Jaxon Andrew and bonus granddaughter, Olive. Family is at the center of her life, and Michelle enjoys balancing her professional achievements with the joy and love of her family.

Missy Young, a Senior Fellow and former CIO at Switch, played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s solutions architecture, transforming it into the world’s only exascale retail colocation ecosystem. With over 25 years of strategic leadership experience, she helped guide Switch’s journey from a small startup to a public company in 2017, and then taking it private again in a landmark $11 billion acquisition in 2022. A strong believer in servant leadership, Missy emphasizes sustainability and mentoring team members for professional growth. As a public speaker and host of the Boldly Go podcast, she shares her passion for technology and faith, empowering others to embrace their unique missions. Missy serves on various boards, including the Foundation Board of Opportunity Village, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, and the Desert Research Institute Foundation, while advocating for technology education and keeping the 'A' in STEAM.

Stacey Schieffelin
CHAIR, AMERICA FIRST WOMEN’S INITIATIVE AND SENIOR ADVISOR, CENTER FOR THE AMERICAN WORKER
Stacey Schieffelin, the new Chair of the America First Women’s Initiative, will drive America First Policy Institute’s (AFPI) Women’s Agenda forward through programs like S.A.F.E. (Security, Affordability, Fairness, and Education) and the America First HOPE Agenda (Health, Opportunity, Prosperity and Empowerment). These initiatives are central to advancing AFPI’s mission of rebuilding and sustaining American greatness. Stacey will leverage multiple platforms to champion women within the movement to excel in their personal and professional lives, craft meaningful policy wins for women in their communities, and reshape the narrative around women’s roles in their society. Her new role underscores AFPI’s dedication to policies that empower and strengthen the foundation of our great Republic for families and generations to come.
In addition to her new role, Schieffelin will continue as Senior Advisor to the AFPI Center for the American Worker. Previously, Schieffelin also served as Senior Advisor to the AFPI’s Chairman of the Board, Linda McMahon, who has been nominated as the next Secretary of Education.
Schieffelin brings a wealth of experience as a successful entrepreneur, having built a 40-year global track record of achievement through her own companies and supporting multiple brands featured on 8 LIVE TV shopping networks in 28 countries. Her career began as a prominent international FORD model, but she quickly rose to prominence as a recognized brand and market leader in the $500 billion beauty industry. As a passionate advocate for women-owned businesses, Stacey co-founded Women’s Leadership LIVE, an organization dedicated to providing training and resources to aspiring female entrepreneurs.
Stacey grew up in the cattle industry on her family’s ranches in Florida.
Stacey and her husband, David, a Harvard graduate, are the proud parents of daughters Lou and Knox. The family enjoys traveling together, supporting local government, and volunteering with multiple non-profits.
Chanda Crutcher

With over thirty years of experience in Senior Services, Chanda Mills Crutcher has dedicated her life to strategic servant leadership. Chanda is an ordained Foursquare Minister currently serving as the Atlantic District Supervisor, providing stewardship and care to twenty-one states and over 250 churches. Chanda is the Founder and CEO of American Senior Assistance Program, Inc., providing In-Home Care and Geriatric Care Management for older and disabled adults. As the Founder and current Board Chair of The Legacy Center Inc., Chanda has demonstrated her commitment to those in their 3rd and 4th quarters of life. The Legacy Center is the first and only non-profit, intergenerational day program for adults diagnosed with all forms of Dementia and Traumatic Brain injury in Alabama. Chanda's passion is to create community, and she has learned through the wisdom that only comes from experience, that Relational Equity is the most valuable form of currency that there is.
